King Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated boutique winery located in Crozet, just fifteen minutes from Charlottesville at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The winery specializes in small productions of ultra-premium wine that showcase the remarkable qualities of nearly 100% estate grown fruit. Founded in 1998, the winery's first vintage was only 500 cases. Today, the winery produces approximately 5,000 cases of wine per year.
The covered veranda, expansive lawn, or brick patio are perfect for outdoor picnics while the Tasting Room and warm stone fireplace are inviting on cooler days. Bring your own goodies or pick from our gourmet assortments of chocolates, cheeses, salamis, spreads, and hot french bread.

We welcome you to enjoy a sampling of our award winning wines in our casual, relaxing Tasting Room during normal business hours. As you arrive, our gracious and knowledgeable staff will lead you through a tasting of six wines for $5 per person. A signature wine glass is included as a souvenir.
Group tastings (eight or more people) must be scheduled in advance. Taste and learn in depth information about the wines in our Barrel Room. A selection of special, limited release wines or older vintages are included in this tasting. There is a $10 per person charge and a signature wine glass is included as a souvenir. Time slots are limited so please call ahead to make a reservation. A fee of $80, charged at the time of booking, is required to hold the reservation. Tastings not canceled with more than 48 hours notice will not receive a refund. If your group is less than eight but you would still like this experience, our minimum fee of $80 will be charged.
We recommend bringing a light jacket as the Barrel Room is kept at a low temperature for the wines.

Rt. 250 West past Western Albemarle High School. Turn
right onto Rt. 797 (Hillsboro Lane). Turn right onto
Rt. 684 (Half Mile Branch). Go one mile, winery entrance
on the left. OR, take I-64 West to Exit 107 (Crozet),
turn right onto Rt. 250 East. Go 1/2 mile, turn left
onto Rt. 797 (Hillsboro Lane) and then as above.
