The 2027 Artist Series

We’re looking for the next artist to bring the King Family Vineyards Artist Series to life.

Now planning for its second year, we pair three lively, expressive wines with one artist’s unique vision. Now, it’s your turn. We’re inviting artists to submit three original works of art for the chance to have their work featured on the labels of our 2027 release of our Artist Series wines.

Whether you paint, draw, illustrate, or create digitally, we want to see what you see.

The selected artist will receive a prize of $1,500, work alongside our Marketing Director and Winemaker to prepare their artwork for the labels, and be featured throughout our marketing and Artist Series launch.

Submissions are open August 18th through October 15th, 2026. No generative AI. Just your imagination, your perspective, and your art.

THE WINES

When we launched this artist project in 2025, our goal was to reimagine the labels for our Carbonic Merlot and V while introducing a new Rosé Pét-Nat made from Merlot. These three wines share a youthful, lively spirit, and we’re looking for artwork that captures that same sense of energy, playfulness, and personality.

1. Eligibility and Submission Requirements

Eligible entrants may submit original artwork for consideration in the King Family Vineyards 2027 Artist Series. The selected artist will create three original works of art, each intended for use as a wine label.

Artwork may be submitted in one of the following formats:

- Painting
- Illustration
- Digital design
- Drawing

All artwork must be original, created by the submitting artist, and submitted by the artist. Artwork that infringes upon or incorporates copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected material without appropriate authorization is not eligible.

Generative AI artwork will not be accepted. Entries may not be created, in whole or in part, using generative artificial intelligence.

2. Contest Period and Submission Deadline

The contest begins August 18, 2026.

All submissions must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 15, 2026. Submissions received after the deadline may not be considered.

3. Selection of Artist

Following the submission deadline, the King Family Vineyards team will review all eligible entries and select one artist to be featured for the 2027 King Family Vineyards Artist Series line.

King Family Vineyards reserves the right to determine the winning entry at its sole discretion. Submission of an entry does not guarantee selection or publication.

The winning artist will be announced on Friday, October 30, 2026.

4. Selected Artist Responsibilities

The selected artist will work directly with the King Family Vineyards Marketing Director and Winemaker to prepare the three original works of art for use in label production and bottling.

The selected artist agrees to make reasonable revisions or adaptations to the artwork as necessary to accommodate label design, printing, regulatory requirements, and production specifications.

5. Compensation

The selected artist will receive a $1,500 payment for the commissioned artwork and participation in the 2027 Artist Series.

6. Promotional Opportunities

In addition to the $1,500 payment, the selected artist will receive promotional exposure through King Family Vineyards' marketing channels, which may include:

A dedicated landing page featuring the Artist Series, the artist's headshot and biography, and insight into the creative process behind the artwork.

A link to the artist's website, portfolio, or other online work as requested by the artist and approved by King Family Vineyards.

Recognition in email marketing distributed to King Family Vineyards' mailing list of nearly 40,000 subscribers.

Promotion across King Family Vineyards' marketing channels in connection with the Artist Series release.

The opportunity to attend an Artist Series launch event at King Family Vineyards, currently anticipated to take place on a Wednesday evening, where the artist and their work may be featured.

Promotional opportunities, placements, timing, and content are subject to King Family Vineyards' marketing plans and production schedules.

7. Artwork Use and Production

By entering the contest, each entrant represents that they have created the submitted artwork and have the right to submit it for consideration.

The selected artist acknowledges that the three works chosen for the 2027 Artist Series will be reproduced and used in connection with wine labels, packaging, promotional materials, advertising, digital media, social media, websites, and other marketing associated with the Artist Series.

8. General Conditions

King Family Vineyards reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest or Artist Series at any time if circumstances arise that affect the contest's operation or ability to proceed as planned.

King Family Vineyards reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or that is determined to be inappropriate, incomplete, ineligible, or otherwise unsuitable for consideration.

By submitting artwork, entrants acknowledge that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
